The blog musiconn.kontrovers was technically hosted by the Bavarian State Library as part of the Specialized Information Service for Musicology from 2016 to 2024. Following the end of funding by the German Research Foundation (DFG), the service will no longer be provided.

Since April 2024, the weblog has been continued under the name kontrovers within the framework of Hypotheses.

We would like to thank all authors for their constructive, critical and controversial contributions and the blog's advisory board (Lisa-Maria Brusius, Paul Haas, Nina Noeske, Dominik Leipold and Sarah Avischag Müller) for their support.

Special thanks go to the voluntary commitment of the editors Sebastian Bolz and Moritz Kelber, who have helped to shape musiconn.kontrovers from the very beginning and have been responsible for its content and moderation.
